Ari Marcopoulos, contributor to Paris, LA has now done a short film for YSL called “No Way Back”. It is a portrait of Mark Mahoney reknown tattoo artist founder of the Shamrock Social Club in Los Angeles — an interesting collaboration for Yves Saint Laurent.
In 2008 Ari also directed a film for Adam Kimmel, “Claremont”, an L.A. downhill speed race between two skaters, dressed in light blue Adam Kimmel suits. Very Fresh. You can also read what Fabrice Pineau has to say about this short film in the number one issue of Paris, L.A.

Todd Cole
Todd Cole, who just signed the cover image for the last issue of Paris, LA with an image he has made in Big Sur, California. Todd has been a regular contributor to the magazine, with picturesques skies images in the first issue, and a fashion shoot for Rodarte in the second issue (you can see his work on the Paris, LA website). Just recently he has directed Charlotte Gainsbourg’s latest video, “Time of the Assassins”. The video is a lovely walk through nature in the spectacular Big Sur. Take a look.
And if you like this, maybe you will love the movie “Aanteni” he did for Rodarte, with Guinevere van Seenus, a very aesthetic & contemporary version of a space odyssey, that I adored.

PARIS, LA —
The issue number 4 of Paris, LA is out this week in selected places of the Global Village. We are happy to be part of this project initiated by the amazing Dorothée Perret two years ago. This magazine started as an imaginary link between Paris and Los Angeles, and has been growing and evolving since.
In this issue you will eat poetry, journey to the new far west, have sex, listen to the avenue, and dream that you are already there… or somewhere else… Read it and let it grow on you!
American author Ariana Reines transforms the YSL Manifesto into a poem. Watch the movie.
